How a drill works (the 60-second loop)

Three Steps. Millisecond Precision. Verified Human Execution.

The daily micro-simulation engine that builds cognitive muscle memory across departments, ensuring policies are executed consistently under pressure.

  1. 01

    Red-Flag Identification

    Spot the pressure

Recognize Coercion & Manipulation. Read the scenario and identify the subtle red flag or pressure tactic (e.g., an angry executive demanding an urgent wire transfer, a panicked clinical request, or an unauthorized server reset). Select the response that holds policy boundaries.

  2. 02

    Protocol Verification Scaffold

    Hold the procedure

Lock In Procedural Templates. Complete the missing procedural step required by company policy before taking action (e.g., “[Coercive Request] vs. [Mandatory Out-of-Band Callback]”).

  3. 03

    Rapid System Action

    Act in five seconds

Execute Under Time Pressure. A 5-second countdown timer initiates. Trigger the exact system action ([FREEZE TRANSACTION], [ISOLATE HOST], [ESCALATE TO FRAUD DESK]) before time expires.

  • Private Performance Hub: Available Participants track their individual speed, accuracy, and historical trends.
  • Private Sandbox Mode: Available Unmonitored warm-up mode allowing staff to practice complex workflows without affecting departmental metrics.

The Human Latency Index (HLI) metric engine

Measured, Mathematical, and Audit-Ready

Latency Lab moves beyond binary “completed/incomplete” checkmarks, and every drill logs millisecond-level telemetry to compute seven proprietary behavioral metrics.

Human Latency Index (HLI)
A composite benchmark score quantifying organizational decision speed, protocol adherence, and coercion resistance under stress.
Protocol Adherence Score (PAS)
The percentage of scenarios where both the verification step and rapid system action were executed correctly.
Red-Flag Identification Speed (RFIS)
The median latency (in milliseconds) required to correctly identify coercive or fraudulent threat indicators.
System Logic Understanding (SLU)
Procedural accuracy across multi-step dependency decisions.
Friction & Flaw Index (FFI)
Execution speed against a 1.5-second baseline target, plus penalties for selecting passive compliance choices.
User Confidence Metric (UCM)
Decision acceleration across repeat attempts, adjusted for timeouts.
Habit Adoption Rate (HAR)
The share of correct actions executed via keyboard hotkeys in under 1.5 seconds.

These are in-game measures from taps and timings. They describe drill performance. They do not show how someone acts on a live call, that losses fell, or that any regulation is met.

Security, Privacy & Data Sovereignty

Built for Enterprise Compliance & Local Data Protection

Privacy and security are non-negotiable when handling employee performance metrics, so the architecture is engineered for zero PII exposure and strict local processing by default, with full enterprise governance planned.

On-Device Cognitive Evaluation

Drills record timing and choices only, and every calculation runs on the employee’s own device. Available
  • Zero Audio or Video Recording: Drills evaluate decision timing, option selections, and keyboard hotkeys only. No camera feed, microphone audio, or raw biometric data is ever recorded or transmitted.
  • Local Processing: All latency calculations execute 100% on the employee terminal. By default, no scenario data or inputs leave the endpoint.

Sovereign Enterprise Data Residency

Choose where your hosted deployment runs, and keep personal information out of group logs. Part available
  • Regional Cloud Pinning: Planned Choose your hosted tenant region to meet local data sovereignty requirements.
  • Zero-PII Architecture: Available Aggregated group performance logs contain no personally identifiable information (PII) unless explicit institutional sharing is enabled by your compliance team, in which case a person must sign in and agree before anything is sent, and even then results are held under a code that stands in for the person’s name.

Identity Provider Integration & SSO Governance

Staff sign in with the identity system they already use, and their directory stays in step. Part available
  • Enterprise OIDC Sync: Available Employees access daily micro-drills using their existing workplace identity system through OpenID Connect. No secondary passwords or unmanaged accounts. SAML 2.0 is planned.
  • Automated SCIM Directory Management: Planned Employee department transfers, promotions, and offboarding automatically sync in real time, maintaining strict access control across all organizational units. SCIM is the standard that makes this possible.

Enterprise Data Control & Automated SCORM / xAPI Export

Send results to your learning systems and keep full ownership of your data. Part available
  • Audit-Ready xAPI / SCORM Integration: Available SCORM packages report score and completion to your LMS automatically when staff run them there, and the learner is told before starting what is reported. Results can also be exported as xAPI statements for your Learning Record Store, with direct delivery through encrypted statement pipelines planned.
  • Data Retention & Ownership: Available Your institution retains 100% ownership of all generated telemetry logs. Purge, archive, or export full raw dataset arrays (JSON / CSV / printable reports) at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked

How does multi-tenant onboarding work for a new enterprise?

This is planned for the hosted deployment, where an administrator signs up with a corporate domain, the platform provisions an isolated tenant workspace, and staff sign in through the institution’s identity provider. Today an institution’s own copy is set up with us as part of a pilot.

Does Latency Lab collect audio or personal employee data?

No. Drills use taps and timings only, nothing is recorded by audio or camera, and by default nothing leaves the device. If an institution switches on optional sharing, only drill results go to its dedicated deployment, under a code that stands in for the person’s name.

Can we create custom micro-simulations for our company’s specific SOPs?

Yes. Using the Latency Lab Simulation library, managers can paste raw SOPs or regulatory guidelines into the AI drafting tool to generate Micro-Simulations in minutes, and a person at the institution reviews and approves each one before it is signed and delivered to staff. Please do not paste incident logs that contain customer details.

How do we send results to our existing LMS?

Every micro-simulation can be exported as a SCORM 2004 (4th Edition) package for your LMS, and results can be exported as xAPI statements for your Learning Record Store.

Can participants receive a copy of their own results?

Yes. Each participant can see their own speed, accuracy and trends in a private history on their device and can export it as a file.

Do I need to sign in?

No. The standard app has no accounts, so anyone who opens it can choose any workspace. If an institution switches on sharing in its dedicated deployment, people sign in through the institution’s sign-in system to share results, and the deployment then checks who is allowed to see what.

Can anyone open the compliance dashboard?

Anyone who opens the app on a device can choose that workspace. It shows only what has been imported into that browser, and it shows nothing below a group of five devices. When an institution switches on sharing, its server decides who may see live figures.

Where do results go?

By default, nowhere, unless someone exports them. A drill stores its result in the browser on that device, and the person can delete it at any time. If an institution has switched on sharing, results go to its dedicated deployment only after the person signs in and agrees, and the person can delete what they have sent.

Does it prove that incidents will fall, or that we are compliant?

No. It measures drill performance from taps and timings. It makes no claim about real calls, losses, certifications or regulation.

Which industries do you cover?

Financial services today, with five sets of scenarios ready to adapt. Other industries are planned and have no scenarios yet. A new industry needs scenarios written against that industry’s own procedures and reviewed by the people who own them.

Can you add our industry?

Tell us your industry and the procedures you want drilled in the pilot request, and we will say what is involved.

Does it work offline?

Yes, after the first load, and it can be installed from the browser. It has been tested in Chrome.
